Legendary Tottenham Striker Bobby Smith Dies At
Legendary Tottenham Hotspur centre-forward Bobby Smith passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 77 following a short illness.

Nicholson's era, Martin Peters and Alan Mullery, addressed the crowd at half-time, confirming that former striker Smith was very ill.
Born at Lingdale, North Yorkshire, on February 22 1933, Smith achieved footballing immortality as an integral part of Nicholson's fabled Double-winning Tottenham team of 1960-61, a season in which he hit the back of the net 33 times.
He'd joined Spurs from Chelsea in December 1955 and went on to score Chicago Bears jersey
208 goals in 317 senior appearances for the Lilywhites, netting in both the 1961 and 1962 FA Cup finals and also winning a European Cup Winners' Cup medal in 1963.
Smith represented England 15 times, scoring an impressive 13 goals for his country.
He left White Hart Lane in May 1964, joining Brighton & Hove Albion where he scored 19 goals in 31 games as the Seagulls won the old Fourth Division title in 1964-65, the final season of his league career.
A big, bustling attacker, Smith's power and bravery were complemented by skill and flair, but his whole-hearted approach to the game came at a physical cost, and he suffered in later life from mobility issues related to injuries sustained - and treatment received - during his playing New Orleans Saints jersey
days.
Tottenham issued a statement on his death on their official website, in which they extended their ‘sincere condolences’ to the family of Bobby Smith.
