anchester United's Darren Fletcher Says Best Friend Wayne Rooney Will Never Leave The Club
Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher believes Wayne Rooney will never leave the club he loves playing for.
Fletcher, Rooney’s best friend at Old Trafford, says Rooney is nfl jersey
already a ‘big part’ of United’s history and hence will never quit the club.
When asked about the possibility of Rooney’s possible departure in the future, Fletcher said: “No, he’s a big part of United’s history now.
“He absolutely loves playing for this club.”
Rooney has endured a torrid time in the last few weeks as embarrassing reports surfaced revealing lurid details of his private life.
Rooney was allegedly involved in a sex affair with a prostitute and a threesome while his wife, Coleen, was pregnant with their son Kai.
Some reports – which had surfaced earlier this month – claimed that Rooney is targeted by Real Madrid, who are looking to take advantage of the unsettling effects of the revelations about the England striker’s personal life in order to lure him to Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Fletcher is convinced that Rooney will be staying at Old Trafford.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has quashed rumours that the club’s striker Michael
Owen may be set to reunite with Gerard Houllier at Saints jersey
Aston Villa.
Houllier had openly spoken of his desire to take his former Liverpool player to Villa Park.
But Ferguson insists that while he understands Owen’s frustration at the lack of playing time, he has promised the former Newcastle United striker that he will be playing "enough football" this season.
"I'm not aware of Gerard wanting him but, anyway, he's wasting his time there," Ferguson told The People.
"I understand Michael's frustration, but Dimitar Berbatov has started the season so well.
"He'll start against Scunthorpe in the Carling Cup and he'll get enough football this season."
United play Owen's and Houllier's former employers Liverpool at Old Trafford today.
Manchester City’s unsettled goalkeeper Shay Given is ready to make a move away from Eastlands on loan after seeing his first-team opportunities become limited, according to The Sunday Times.
The Irish goalkeeper is frustrated at warming the bench at the City of Manchester Stadium while Joe Hart starts for the Citizens, and is eyeing a switch away from the club in the next transfer window.
“We’ll see what happens come January and hopefully if the situation’s the same I can go on loan and try and get some games in. I’ve never said I want to leave Man City. I believe it’s a big club that in the next couple of years is going to do big things. I want to be part of that but I also want to be playing football.
“I wouldn’t mind where a loan was and San Diego Chargers jersey
wouldn’t rule out abroad if it was a good club and a good team, no disrespect to a club that’s fighting relegation and getting pummelled every week — though at the minute that probably seems better than what I’m doing.”
On Thursday Given was left out of a match in the Europa League although he had thought he would start: “I thought I’d have played but I don’t know what the manager’s thinking because he hasn’t told me,” he said.
