Sao Paulo stadiums could host 2014 WCup matches

SAO PAULO (AP)—Government officials say South America’s biggest city will likely have two stadiums ready to host World Cup matches in 2014.
The club team Corinthians is planning to build a stadium that cnfl jerseys
ould host the tournament’s opener, and Sao Paulo mayor Gilberto Kassab said Monday that Palmeiras’ facility could also host matches after its renovation is complete.
Sao Paulo’s Morumbi Chicago Bears jersey
stadium was set to host the opener, but it was dropped earlier this year because of a lack of financial guarantees.
Corinthians’ stadium would need extra investments to host the Carolina Panthers jersey
opener, though. It initially has been planned for 48,000 people, well short of FIFA’s requirement of 65,000.
